Brief Description

To work individually and as part of a team, supporting the service manager to ensure the smooth running of the service and to ensure that the people we support are provided with a
safe, caring and stable environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to start or develop your career within the Care sector.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)

About the Role

De Parys is a three storey Victorian House in Bedford providing a residential service for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Support is tailored to the specific needs, goals and aspirations so each individual can live a meaningful life with their local community.

Offering a therapeutic, supportive setting, the team at De Parys are caring and attentive. Person centred support plans are regularly updated as needs change or goals are achieved. Individuals are always encouraged to try new activities of interest and to reach their full potential at their own pace.

You?ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.
